The History of 'White Horse'

'White Horse' was built in 1948 in Faarborgh Denmark as a fishing vessel. She is massively constructed on the traditional siene netter lines and for her sea keeping abilities she has no equal.

Originally named 'Orlik' she was registered in Grimsby as GY557 under the Delga Fishing company. She spent most of her working life in the North Sea, with summer trips of up to three weeks duration to the cod fishing grounds around Iceland. In the early 60's she had a few years working the Irish Sea and Western approaches for the Whitehaven fishing company. She returned to the North Sea in the 70's seeing out her fishing days with the Slight Siener fleet. Trips were normally of two week duration and ranged from the Shetlands to the Norwegian coast, she was finally de-registered in 1989.

'Orlik' was converted for diving charter work in 1991/92, and renamed 'White Horse'. The conversion work was carried out to load line exemption standards. The conversion is diver orientated, and features:

An airy deck Saloon / Lounge
Electric Diver Lift
large deck space / plenty undercover
In situ changing facilities
240 v
Brilliant hot water shower
